MOLINO, Fla. (WALA) - Escambia County Sheriff’s Deputies are investigating the drowning death of a man in the Perdido River.

The ESCO says Friday night witnesses lost sight of a man after he waded into the water, went under and came back up.

Deputies say the drowning happened off River Annex Road near the Adventures Unlimited Outdoor Center close to Molino.

Divers found the man later Friday night but he was pronounced dead.

The victim's name has not yet been released.
