MOBILE, Alabama (WALA) - A Mobile man was robbed at gunpoint on Sunday night. Mobile police said the crime happened on Esau Avenue. Monday, the car was recovered after the victim's son spotted the car on Seventh Street in Chickasaw and called police.

After the call was made, officers came in.

"As they were approaching, there was two suspects that were exiting the vehicle and it seemed they appeared to be getting away from the officers," Sgt. Brad Penton with Chickasaw Police said.

Henry Dailey, 19 and Robert Marion, 22 were arrested.

Inside the car, officers found two loaded handguns, a cell phone, and 62 small bags of marijuana that was packaged for sale.

Mobile Police have been investigating a number of carjackings in recent months, and police said they will watch closely for any connections as the investigations continue.

"A vehicle taken by force when a weapon's involved is always a dangerous situation. That's the reason why the law is so serious about how we deal with these," explained Penton.

Dailey and Marion face a number of charges, including possession of marijuana and receiving stolen property. Both men are being held at the Mobile County Jail on a $14,000 bond.
