MCPSS releases 2012-2013 calendar

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - The Mobile County Public School System has released the official calendar for the 2012-2013 school year.

According to the calendar, the first day for students is August 20, 2012, and school ends for students May 24, 2013.

For students, first semester ends December 21, 2012 and the second semester begins January 3, 2013.

The calendar lists 180 days on record for students and 187 for teacher.

It also states "weather days" will be made up by adding hours to the school day.
