MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - FOX10 News has learned that the family of a student involved in an alleged sexual relationship with a Mary G. Montgomery teacher has hired an attorney, David Greene.

"They were scared and they really just didn't know what to do," Greene said.

Greene now represents the family of the student involved in an alleged sexual relationship with one of his teachers. We first broke this story last week, after his parents went to MGM school authorities

"I think the parents have information, they actually saw. There is a sister that actually has some information that she saw. So I think that all of that will come out after the criminal case has played out," Greene said.

Greene said the family just wants answers, and wants to know why a person in a position of authority allegedly took advantage of a student.

"It's a tragedy. A 14-year-old young man (was) taken advantage of by a woman (who is) 28-years-old. It's inappropriate, the family is devastated, shocked, and stunned," Greene said.

Greene said he believes there is enough evidence for an arrest. The teacher was put on administrative leave by the school system last Monday.

Greene said if and when criminal charges are filed, he said he will file a civil case as well.
