SEMMES, Ala. (WALA) - The team of HiQ scholars from Mary G. Montgomery High School did not disappoint the home crowd during Thursday's academic contest in the MGM auditorium.
It was a close contest at halftime, with only 1 point separating MGM and Citronelle, but the Vikings pulled ahead in the second half to win the match.
At the end of the competition, Mary G. Montgomery had 32 points, Citronelle 19 and Vigor 15. However, MGM challenged an answer. Pending the final ruling, it will either gain 2 points or lose 2. The final score will be posted here.
UPDATE: MGM's challenge was accepted. Its final score is now 34 points.

The second to seventh place teams compete in a semi-final series to determine the 2 additional teams that will meet for the HiQ championship.
