MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - Mobile Democrats gathered at Mobile County Headquarters on Government Street for the town-hall style debate between President Barack Obama and Gov. Mitt Romney.
They were cheering, clapping and standing up during the debate chanting “fire it up” toward the end.
Both candidates have held a number of town hall forums during this campaign season and Democrats said they were ready to see President Obama take charge.
Mobile County Democratic chair Napoleon Bracy Jr. said he believes President Obama did just that during Tuesday’s debate.
“I think the president brought his “A” game tonight and made it clear he is the president for the working family, for the middle class and for the people who are working hard to get to that middle class,” Bracy said.
Bracy said there is a clear difference in the tax cuts between Governor Romney and the President. He said the future belongs to Obama.
“I think the facts are on the side of the president and as far as foreign and domestic policy is concerned, Osama Bin Laden is dead and General Motors is alive,” Bracy said.
