Mobile tradition fun for families

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - The tradition of Mardi Gras not only belongs to the City of Mobile, it belongs to the families.

"It's become a tradition. We are a military family. So when we move, we won't get to do this anymore. So, we are enjoying it,” said Jasmine Ramos.

Like hundreds of other parents, Jasmine and Phillip Ramos brought along the little ones to enjoy the fun.

"It's just a good times for the kids. They have a good time, enjoy themselves and let loose,” said Phillip Ramos.

Kids have their own interpretation of Fat Tuesday. We asked one child what Mardi Gras means to him.

He said, “You throw stuff.”

Kids are having their fun but adults are having their fair share too.

“Time for fun, party , cooking and beads,” said one reveler.
