Police respond to shooting at Cottonwood Senior Apartments

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - Mobile Police arrested a man after a domestic-related shooting at the Cottonwood Senior Apartments on Azalea Road Tuesday afternoon.

Dejuan Sigler, 39, was arrested and charged with first-degree domestic violence in connection to the shooting, which happened just after 3:30 p.m., at the Cottonwood Senior Apartments.

Authorities said Sigler got into an argument with the victim before producing a handgun and firing several shots at her. Sigler was arrested and charged with first-degree domestic violence.

Police tell FOX10 News that the victim, the suspect's 33-year-old girlfriend, was taken to USA Medical Center with a non-life threatening wound.

Cottonwood Senior Apartments is a complex in Mobile that leases exclusively to those 55 years old or older.
