MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - According to Mobile police, a tactical unit is on the scene of a standoff on East Road in Mobile Tuesday, January 8.

Police said a suspect barricaded himself inside a house. According to officials, the suspect is believed to be alone in the house.

Police said they were called to the scene after the suspect reportedly fired shots in his backyard.

Police said they have now have the suspect in custody.
