MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - Officials say on Tuesday, June 26 and Thursday, June 28 the Mobile Police Department will be conducting safety checkpoints in various parts of Mobile. They say the checkpoints are to ensure citizen safety and that motorists are complying with state and local traffic laws.
Authorities say police will be checking seatbelts, child restraints, and other safety features.
Officers will also be checking to ensure that drivers are carrying registration, proof of insurance, and driver’s licenses, as required by law.
