Each class will begin its first day with orientation in the Clark-Shaw cafeteria at 8:30 a.m.
School officials have been working around the clock to make the transition as smooth as possible. Portable classrooms were brought in to house the Murphy students during school hours.
Officials emphasize the two groups of students will be kept separate during school hours.
Mobile County Public School System Superintendent Martha Peek said if some students have problems with the new setup, accommodations can be made to move them elsewhere.
Chasity Byrd was at the senior orientation and will have reactions from students and school officials on FOX10 News at 5 p.m.
