Ingalls wants to hire 3,000 workers

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - The Mobile Police Department announced a job fair to be held Friday, March 22 at 5 p.m.

They say representatives from Ingalls Ship Building Company will be hiring 3,000 people immediately.

Applications will be taken at the Sunlight District Auditorium located at 809 Seminary Street in Prichard.

The company is in need of electricians, welders, pipefitters, painters and ship fitters. All positions will receive on the job training with pay, and are available to male and female applicants.

All applicants must pass a drug test, and have a high school diploma or GED.
