MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - July 18, 2012 - The Mobile Police Department says there has been an arrest in the deadly shooting at Park Place Townhomes on Dandale Drive Tuesday afternoon. They say 24-year-old Mario Davis was arrested in Troup County, Ga. and has been charged with murder.

July 17, 2012 10:30 p.m. - Mobile police are investigating a homicide on Dandale Drive around 1 p.m. on Tuesday.

According to Cpl. Chris Levy with the Mobile Police Department, 25-year-old Christy Golston was found dead at her home in the Park Place Town Homes.

"What we have found is we have an adult female who was shot, apparent gun shot wounds and has been pronounced dead on the scene," said Levy.

Complex owner Allen Brush got the call right when it happened.

"First, I didn't really believe anybody was shot. I thought somebody just was shooting a gun. But when I pulled back here and found out she was killed, it hurts," said Brush.

Brush said Golston was a loving mother.

"She had two kids, a good mother. (She) loved her kids. Fortunately, they were not here today. They were at her mother's. Just a sad scene because she was a good mom," said Brush.

Police spent the afternoon interviewing neighbors and surveying the scene. At one point, they towed a car.
