MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - As the Carnival Triumph moved closer to port, FOX10 News got a look into the conditions on board.

We have heard the descriptions from passengers, but seeing the images makes the depictions come alive.

Photos: First glimpse of Triumph

Bethany Minyard set sail for a bachelorette trip. Her travel was not what she planned for her first cruise.

She sent FOX10 pictures of sewage covering the floor and cardboard being used to clear paths.

Minyard was able to send the pictures thanks to a passenger made charging station as they neared Mobile.

Through these images you can see the sleeping conditions. They show passengers making what Minyard described as “hobo tents” on deck and in the lobbies because there was no air conditioning in the rooms.

Through it all, Minyard  said she and her friends kept their spirits up and are now on their way back home.
