PRICHARD, Ala. (WALA) - Tuesday morning, a tanker truck removed gasoline from the in-ground storage tanks at the Prichard gas station that was the site of a deadly robbery.

Bawan Shahi does not own the store that was robbed on Oct. 25, but he said the gas was being moved to his store in the Tanner Williams community.

"I just came here to get the gas out," Shahi said.

Shahi said he knew both of the young men who worked in the store. Prichard Police had initially identified 26-year-old Rojeen Mulmi as the murder victim, but that information was corrected on Tuesday.

"He got discharged yesterday. Do you know his name? Rojeen Mulmi that is the guy who was discharged," Shahi said.

Sujan Shakya was the clerk who was killed when gunmen robbed the store Thursday; both men are from Nepal. Shakya did not have family members in the U.S., according to friends.

A friend of the clerks who didn't want to go on camera showed FOX10 a report from Canada Nepal News that quotes the victim's brother. He said Shakya came to the US to work two-and-a-half years ago.

Shahi did not know when the store would reopen, but he said efforts were underway to return the young murder victim's body to his home in Nepal.

"They are working on that. That part also I don't know when," he said.

Police said the robbers cut power to the building before they entered with guns drawn last Thursday . After demanding money from the safe, police said the robbers shot the two clerks.

Police believe there were two or three people involved in the robbery but, so far, they have not named any suspects.
