MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - Publix Supermarkets is taking another step in opening its new stores in Mobile, Ala.  The Florida-based chain is now accepting applications for both the University Boulevard and Hillcrest Road locations.

If you're interested in working at Publix, the company is hosting two job fairs on February 25th and 26th 2013.  It will be from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Mobile Marriott, at 3101 Airport Boulevard.

Publix is looking for people to fill entry-level and skilled positions.  Those positions include cleaning and sanitation, demonstrator, cashier, bagging, cake decorator, baker, deli clerk and many more.  If you would like to learn more about the non-managerial positions and the minimum age requirements, click here .

At the event, job seekers will be able to fill out an application and be interviewed on the spot by store managers.  Those who apply will be considered for both Mobile locations.  If you unable to attend the job fair, Publix is still encouraging you to apply at a Job Application Center at any existing location.

The Mobile stores are expected to be open later this year.
