MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - A man involved in a car accident in Mobile is recovering thanks to help from a four-legged savior's senses.

Ann Warner’s daughter Tiffany says her mother was sleeping Sunday morning when her dog heard a car wreck near her home around 6 a.m.

According to Tiffany, her mother’s rescue dog "Jake" urged Ann to the door and bothered her until she dressed and went outside.

Tiffany says Jake led her mother to a corner of Zeigler Blvd. past Municipal Park where a truck had flipped several times and landed in the woods. Ann ran home to call 911 and when the police arrived, "Jake" went to help find the man.

“'Jake' could smell the man in the woods, police arrived and with Jake’s help found him. He was in shock and was having a panic attack,” Ann said.

Tiffany says the man’s father was called and he was taken to USA Medical Center.
