MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - Ronald Crear, a suspect in the robbery and shooting at a local grocery store that left a Mobile Police officer injured, pleaded guilty in court Monday morning.

Crear will not face trial on five attempted murder charges, as well as robbery charges.

He and two other men, Jackieth Harrison and Collier Kirksey, are accused of robbing the Winn Dixie on Government St. and shooting Mobile Police Officer Chad Wynne as officers attempted to make entry into the store.

Wynne had to be hospitalized, but attended a preliminary hearing for the suspects in March.

FOX10 News Reporter Chasity Byrd is in the courtroom and will have more on this developing story tonight at 4 p.m.
