MOBILE, Ala. - We're getting ready to say goodbye to 2009 and hello to 2010. To mark the occasion a 600 pound MoonPie will light up the sky in Mobile.

Hundreds of people are gathering downtown to ring in the New Year in Mobile's own unique way.

Parking for MoonPie Over Mobile on December 31, 2009 will be available at the Mobile Civic Center for $5.

The Wave Transit System will provide continuous shuttles between Cooper-Riverside Park and the Civic Center from 7:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. There is no charge for the shuttle.

The massive MoonPie will rise above the Port City at the stroke of midnight to ring in a new year.

FOX10 News reporter Hal Scheurich was downtown for all of the fun.
