MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - The Carnival Cruise Ship Triumph was finally docked by 9:30 p.m. Thursday, February 14.

FOX10 News was at Alabama State Port Authority Terminal on Pinto Island watching the Carnival Cruise Ship Triumph come in.

Officials said the Triumph passed the island about an hour before reaching the cruise terminal.

According to officials, she was in the channel for about 7 hours.

Carnival said the 3,000 or so passengers have the option of a seven-hour bus ride to the Texas cities of Galveston or Houston or a two-hour trip to New Orleans. Buses are standing by to take them to their next stop.

Officials said hot meals, warm blankets and cell phones are ready for passengers when they land.

It was about 150 miles off Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula when an engine room fire knocked out its primary power source, crippling its water and plumbing systems and leaving it adrift on only backup power.

FOX10 News Russell Colburn was on the island. Check out the video for the full coverage.
