MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - Mobile Fire-Rescue is on the scene of a fire at the Goodwill Easter Seals donation site on Airport Boulevard. The fire started sometime between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. Wednesday.
The fire is producing a lot of smoke that is backing up traffic on Eastbound Airport Boulevard. We've also received calls that the smoke can be seen in Downtown Mobile.
Fire spokesman Steve Huffman tells us the fire started in the outside collection area, and it is not threatening any other buildings. Huffman also says it will take a while to put out, because of the boxes and boxes of clothes and donations in the area of the fire.
