SPD: 2 arrested for drugs and weapons

SARALAND, Ala. (WALA) - On Monday, March 11, the Saraland Police Department arrested two suspects on drug and weapon charges.

According to investigators, 33-year-old James A. Kent was arrested for carrying a concealed weapon, which police said were brass knuckles. They said 35-year-old Amelia N. Sells were arrested for of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to police, the arrests are the result of an investigation into a domestic disturbance complainant during which police said they seized, from Kent a pair of brass knuckles and from Sells controlled substances (prescription medication and methamphetamine), marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
