MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - Mobile police have arrested a man they said tried to molest a young boy in a dollar store restroom.

On Dec. 21, Alphonso Evans, 19, was booked on sexual abuse and kidnapping charges thanks to a tip from a FOX10 viewer.

Police said Evans walked into the bathroom where the juvenile was and locked the door. They said he then grabbed the juvenile as if he was going to undress him.

The victim managed to get away and run out the door.

Evans was out on bond for a similar crime at the time. In August, he was charged with sexual abuse and enticing a child to enter a home.
