Teen shot trying to break into house

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - Authorities say a teen was shot and killed Saturday night after he tried to break into a home.

According to the Mobile Police Department, 17-year-old Kendall Day was trying to break into a home on Beach Avenue in Theodore around 9:30 p.m. Day was shot by the owner of the home and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators say Day was upset about an earlier altercation with the homeowner.

No arrests have been made, but the incident is still under investigation and will be presented to the grand jury.
