MOBILE, Ala. - LeFlore High School football player Timothy Robinson, under went brain surgery after suffering from an injury in Friday nights game against Spanish Fort at Ladd-Peebles Stadium. Robinson's friends talk with Fox10 News about how they are coping with the situation.

With about 48 seconds to go in the game, LeFlore was leading 18 to 13. But, the game didn't officially come to an end until much later. After the ball was snapped and handed off to Spanish Fort's Elijah Peterson, Timothy Robinson came in to stop the run. After the play was over though, Robinson didn't get up.

Zack Calhoun is Timothy's teammate, and was on the sideline watching the game.

"He didn't get up. We rushed him to the sideline. The medical people came over to try to see what was wrong with him, took off all his equipment, he wasn't responding right, so they got the ambulance onto the field and escort him off," said Calhoun

A doctor who was at the game, and came to Timothy's aid. He said Timothy went into a seizure, and then was rushed to the hospital.

Students at LeFlore High School are rallying behind Timothy, and praying for a fast recovery.

LeFlore's Head Football Coach Christopher Raymond said the students are keeping a positive attitude about the situation.

"It's more of a rallying crowd than feeling sad and bad about what happened. They are just looking to the future everything they do from this point on is for him because they feel like he is still there with them in spirit," said Raymond.

Timothy is still in a coma and is being treated in the Intensive Care Unit. His family said they expect him to make a full recovery.
