MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - Tornado victims in midtown Mobile are preparing for the looming severe weather threat, which is expected to roll through the FOX10 viewing area on Christmas day.

Tarps are still on roofs and debris sits curbside after an EF-1 tornado hit the midtown area Thursday, December 20.

Folks like Lakesha Farris and her family are celebrating Christmas Eve under two gaping holes in the living room.

"We are not getting any rain inside, so that is good,” Farris.

A huge tree fell on Farris' grandmother's home during Thursday’s severe weather.

Now the roof is covered with a tarp. And the tree is gone. And the Farris family is hoping they've seen the last of the stormy weather.

“It’s a little scary but you know, I am just praying to the lord that nothing else, worse happens,” said Farris.
