ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WALA) - Escambia County deputies arrested two suspects after authorities said they robbed the Central Credit Union on Foxrun Road around 1:10 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23,
Officials said some deputies responded to the credit union and others circulated the area. Deputies said they caught the two suspects at American’s Best
Value Inn & Suites on Pensacola Boulevard around 1:50 p.m.
Reginald L. Augst, 36, and Heather Grace Menze, 30 were taken into custody and transported to the sheriff’s office for questioning.
Credit union employees reported that a white male entered the business and approached a teller asking how to open an account, as the teller went to get paperwork the male went to another teller and passed a note. They said the note said told the teller it was a robbery and that he had a gun.
The tellers complied and gave the male suspect an undisclosed amount of cash. The
suspects fled the scene, no weapon was ever displayed and no injuries were reported.
Tellers later identified Augst and Menze as the people who robbed the bank. Both Augst
and Menze were charged with robbery with a firearm or deadly weapon and each have
a $20,000.00 bond.
