MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - A mother and son are in Mobile County Metro Jail accused of murder, and police are looking for a third suspect.

Police said the arrests are related to a shooting on Raven Drive Monday.

Investigators said they heard shots fired in the area and responded where they found 25-year-old Orlando Bohannon with gunshot wounds.

Police said April King, her son Marquis King and Barry Leverett are responsible for the crime.

Car windows with the words “R.I.P” are all over the Birdville community.

A close friend of Bohannon’s, Duke Tariono Hill, said knowing who the suspects are is hard to swallow.

He said Marquis King was in their group of friends.

"He hang with us every day. That’s why it scared me because it was so close. It wasn't nobody coming from a different section. It came right out of the community,” said Hill.

They were also close to his mother, April King.  Both surrendered Thursday at Mobile County Metro Jail.

Kenyatta Williams lives in the area. She is thankful they are off the streets.

"I feel a whole lot better because I have a 10-year-old. I feel a whole lot better," said Williams.

Barry Leverett is still on the run.

The three suspects are all charged with murder, but police haven’t released who pulled the trigger.

"Those parts of it are definitely part of the investigation. We would like to really bring that out in the court proceedings," said Cpl. Chris Levy with the Mobile Police Department.

This is the second time this community has lost someone this year.

In April, Frederick Williams was shot and killed on Raven Drive.

"The community going to always be the community. We can’t stop the violence till everybody come together," said Hill.

If you have any information about Leverett’s whereabouts, please call Mobile police.
