MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - Mobile's Catholic Archbishop Thomas Rodi will join other bishops from the southern United States in January for group and individual meetings with Pope Benedict XVI at the Vatican.
Approximately every 5 years, bishops travel to the Vatican for their ad limina visits, during which they report to the Pope on their particular diocese or archdiocese.
Rodi said, "The bishops of Alabama, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee will be in Rome for the Ad Limina visits January 23-31, 2012". He said, "I am looking forward to the visits".
