PRICHARD, Ala. (WALA) - Plenty of people enjoyed a warm, beautiful day as the Prichard Christmas Parade took to the streets Saturday.

The bands and marching units from Vigor and Blount High Schools must have felt like they were parading on a Fat Tuesday in March.

Still, no one was complaining, not even St. Nick, decked out in his heavy coat.

When asked what he thought about the weather, James Rackley said, "Its beautiful. It's a beautiful day for the Christmas parade, and everybody's enjoying it:  a lovely day.  Everybody's got the spirit, and that's the main thing that counts."

Mona Rowser said, "I was hot. I enjoyed it, though. I'm going to catch it on the other end."

Still, other parade-goers know, if you don't like the weather in Mobile, you won't have to wait long before it changes.

When asked if she was hot wearing a leather jacket, Stacy Rowser said, "Yeah, I'm hot, but I'm enjoying myself. Its going to get a little colder."

The weather wasn't too warm to melt candy, and the people on the floats threw plenty of it.

With that, it was easy to get in the spirit of Christmas, even if the weather made it feel like some other holiday.
