MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - Mobile police said they need the public’s help to solve a mystery that happened Thursday around 9 p.m.

Officers found a woman lying in the parking lot at the Krystal’s on Government Street. They said the woman had some blood on her and was unconscious.  She was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

Police originally thought the woman was hit by a car, but doctors said her injuries didn’t support that theory.

Investigators said they aren’t sure what happened to the woman, or even if she was the victim of a crime.

Police aren’t releasing the woman’s identity, but they do say she lives in the downtown area. They did, however, describe the victim as a 56-year-old white female with head injuries.

If you know anything about this case, call the Mobile Police Department.
