MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - A group of young men are lucky to be alive following a wreck in Mobile.

It happened Friday at the intersection of Clinton and Welworth streets. A pick-up truck collided with a car and flipped.

Five people were in the bed of the truck including Scott Jackson. He said all five of them were thrown from the car.

"The driver dropped something, and I got flung and all of us got flung off. I'm worried about all my friends," said Jackson.

Darius Miller Thomas and Darius Giles were in the front seat.

"I could feel the car flipping," said Thomas.

They were able to walk away from the crash and are thankful.

"I don't know what to think. I'm just happy to be alive," said Giles.

"I know one person is looking out for me,” said Jackson.

The driver of the car and three people from the truck were taken to the hospital.

Officials said only one person was seriously injured.
