Motorcycle officer hit by car

MOBILE, Ala. - A Mobile police officer is in the hospital Monday night after he was injured when a car hit his motorcycle.

The officer that was hit was Otha Lee Hargrove, a relative of interim Police Chief Lester Hargrove. He is a five-year veteran of the force who works with the Traffic Safety Unit.

It happened on Rangeline Road and Highway 90 at Tillman's Corner.

He was taken to USA Medical Center for treatment. The officer is in stable condition, but suffered a broken foot.

Mobile Police are still working on the details of the accident.
