FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. (WALA) - The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office says all four lanes on the Brooks Bridge are now OPEN. Both eastbound and westbound lanes.

The Coast Guard shut down the immediate area around the Brooks Bridge after a barge hit the bridge around 3 p.m. on Wednesday.

The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office said water and sewer officials checked out what was either a broken water main or sewer main across the span.

Officials said due to the crash, Mid-Bay Bridge tolls are temporally suspended.

The Brooks Bridge links Okaloosa Island and Fort Walton Beach.

No injuries were reported in the incident.
