CRESTVIEW, Fla. (WALA) - The Crestview Police Department has arrested 25-year-old Kevin Jerome Bray for burglary.

Officials say shortly after 6:15 a.m. Tuesday, the Crestview Police Department responded to a call in the area of North Savage Street where police say the suspect was breaking into a back window of a residence.

Police say when officers arrived on scene, they say they observed Bray exiting the rear of the residence with a jewelry box he had taken from the home where the owner had been sleeping.

Bray was promptly detained, and investigators say during a search of his person, several items were discovered that had been stolen from multiple vehicles in the surrounding neighborhood.

Bray was arrested and has been charged with burglary to an occupied structure, two counts of burglary to a vehicle, and grand theft.

He has been released into the custody of the Okaloosa County Jail.
