Man faces 50 counts of child porn

CRESTVIEW, Fla. (WALA) - The Crestview Police Department has arrested 41-year-old Richard Dwight Waterson III and charged him with 50 counts of possession of child pornography.

The Crestview Police Department in conjunction with the North Florida Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force conducted a year-long joint investigation after a search warrant was executed at Waterson’s home in December of 2010.

A forensic examination of Waterson’s computer and related materials seized during the search of his home, resulted in the identification of 50 pornographic images involving children.

Waterson was arrested Wednesday, December 21, at his home in Crestview. He was then released into the custody of the Okaloosa County Jail.
