PENSACOLA, Fla. (WALA) - A national news publication has reported that there could be no Blue Angels shows in the second half of 2013 if government spending cuts are approved.
The US News and World report says sequestration, as it’s known, would force the Navy to cut all funding to the Blue Angels for the third and fourth quarters of 2013.
A Blue Angels show is scheduled in Pensacola for early November.
The magazine cites a brief it obtained from the Chief of Naval Operations.
The statement from the Navy reportedly depicts prospective cuts to programs if Congress doesn't pass a budget for this fiscal year, or if sequestration takes place.
