MILTON, Fla. (WALA) - Jobseekers in the Florida Panhandle grab your resumes. A career fair is being held at the Pensacola State College Milton Campus on Wednesday.
It will be from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the L.I.F.E. Center Building.
Dozens of companies will be on hand looking to fill openings in various fields, including health care, banking, auto mechanic, retail and education.
Florida's unemployment rate did drop from nine percent in March to 8.7 percent in April. However, the state said it was largely due to people leaving the labor force.
The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity said the civilian labor force declined by 28,000 workers in April.
