PENSACOLA, Fla. (WALA) - Between the death defying stunts and the big booming fireworks display, fans said they were pumped, watching Friday night’s homecoming air show.

After a jam-packed performance during the day, pilots and divers took to the skies for a second round; this time adding a little extra flare to their performance.

“Just all the sparkling lights, flying fire up there,” said onlooker, Leon Sigler. “I’ve never seen anything like it.”

Libba Lomenick said, “This is the first time we’ve ever seen it at night and that’s why we came out here, just to see something different.

Many who attended the night show said it was a testament to the country’s naval aviation excellence and believe the homecoming weekend is only about celebrating Pensacola’s Blue Angels, but to honor those men and women serving our country.

“We’re just proud to see everybody come back here and just to have that kind of opportunity. You’re not going to see this anywhere else,” said Sigler.
