PENSACOLA, Fla. (WALA) - Pensacola Police charged a driver with failure to yield right-of-way after hisvehicle collided with a motorcycle and sent its riders to the hospital.

Officer Tony Garza with the PPD said the Saturday morning crash took place at Palafox and Jackson Streets.

Tommie Chandler was moving through a stop sign into Palafox St., after stopping, as Thomas Mitchell’s motorcycle came down the street. Mitchell and his passenger, Yuka Mitchell, hit the side of Chandler’s Pontiac Bonneville, Garza said.

The officer said neither motorcyclist was wearing a helmet in the March 16 accident; they both suffered non-life threatening injuries and were treated at a local hospital.
