PENSACOLA, Fla. (WALA) - Fortis Institute in Pensacola is giving registered nurses a chance to move ahead in their careers. The college opened enrollment to qualified candidates for their new RN-BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) degree program.
A bachelor's degree is often needed if RNs want to transition into nursing administration, research, teaching and other advanced health care positions.
The curriculum offers advanced nursing concepts that enable prospective candidates to enhance their critical thinking, along with the leadership and management skills necessary for senior nursing positions.
“This new RN to Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree program is a great tool, not only for our graduates, but current RNs in the region who wish to move up the professional ladder,” said Campus Director of Nursing Admissions Margie Carter.
“Students who start here for our Associate of Science in Nursing Degree and become RNs, now can continue on to earn their BSN. In addition, all RNs in Northwest Florida, whether they received their initial training at Fortis or elsewhere, can enroll in our bridge program to earn a bachelor’s degree in nursing,” Carter added.
