Missing jet skier's body found

    PENSACOLA, Fla. (WALA) - The United States Coast found the body of a jet-skier who went missing in the Gulf near Sherman Cove Marina on Thursday.

    USCG searchers recovered the body of Mark Thomas, 47, on August 30.

    Coast Guard and Florida Fish and Wildlife Officers searched for Thomas, who went missing on Monday, throughout Monday and Tuesday, but were unable to locate him.

    The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office has taken over the investigation from the Coast Guard.
