National Night Out approaches

PENSACOLA, Fla. (WALA) - Residents of Pensacola are invited to a the 29 ^th Annual National Night out event on Tuesday August 7.

National Night Out is a nationwide even designed to “bring awareness to crime and drug prevention; generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime efforts; and strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships.”

The event will take place from 6-8 p.m. at Magee Field at 2500 MLK Blvd in Pensacola. Food, games and entertainment will be provided.

Target will provide school supplies to students while supplies last.

The Community Drug and Alcohol Council, which is co-sponsoring the event has invited families out to enjoy what call a great way for the community to stand together to “promote healthy, lifestyles and safer neighborhoods.”
