PERDIDO, Fla. (WAAL) - The Escambia County Florida Sheriff’s Office is looking for an armed robber. The crime happened Thursday night at The Shrimp Basket in Perdido and it was all on tape.
The video shows the suspect in and out of the restaurant quickly. But the images will stick with owner Eddie Spence.
"Were like family. The people you care about you hate to see pushed around and treated like that," said Spence.
The woman in the video is one of the managers. The crime happened as she was closing up and counting money. Video shows the suspect enter the restaurant through the back door wearing a handkerchief over his face and a hoodie.
"Grabbed one of our cooks, put the gun up to him and went to the front where the two girls were counting money,” said Spence.
You can see the man push a gun up to the manager, take the money and run.
"I hope they catch who it is they have some pretty good leads now. I hope they catch who it is and make an example of them to not do that anymore,” said Spence.
Even with the scary encounter it is back to business at the popular restaurant.
The Sheriff’s Office has not named a suspect. They ask that if you have any information to call law enforcement.
