Shots fired, chase, leads to arrest

PENSACOLA, Fla. (WALA) - A response to a shots fired call for Escambia County Deputies turned into a short chase Thursday morning, November 22.

When deputies arrived to the 2500 block of Eliasberg Street around 1:10 a.m. they spoke to witnesses. They discovered the earlier argument had been over missing money.

While deputies were speaking to the victim, the suspect drove by again. Deputies say they pursued the suspect before he crashed.

Ricky Davis, 49, was taken into custody and the firearm was recovered.

Davis was treated at a local hospital then arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, firing a weapon recklessly and disorderly intox. He remains in the Escambia County Jail with a $12,000 bond.
