OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. (WALA) - Investigators with the Ocean Springs Police Department arrested Tiffany Miller for petit larceny.
As the investigation progressed, officials said additional charges were brought forth against Miller relating to the theft of cash belonging to the victims.
Investigators said they believe the suspect intentionally targeted senior citizens.
So far, police said four thefts have been involving the same circumstances.
Officials said all of the victims reported they were approached by Miller and asked if they would allow her the use of their telephones. The suspect allegedly gained their trust and was allowed into their homes and as the opportunity presented itself, stole various amounts of cash.
Investigators said, Miller faces three misdemeanor counts of petit larceny. She is being housed at the Ocean Springs Municipal Jail on a $1,020bond.
The investigation is on-going at this time.
