Police: Obscene pictures sent to teen

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) - Mobile police have arrested Physical Education teacher Darrell LaVoid Tyler after obscene pictures were found on a 13-year-old girl's cell phone.

Tyler is a P.E. coach at The Continuous Learning Center.

Police say the victim's mother found the text messages on her phone. They appeared to be from a man, possibly the girl's teacher. Authorities say over a two-day period, Tyler sent obscene pictures to the girl.

Tyler was arrested and charged with transmitting obscene material to a child.
