2 wanted in Reddy's Food Mart armed, masked robbery

MILTON, Fla. (WALA) - Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Deputies said the suspect who attempted to rob the Reddy's Mart convenience store on June 10 wore a strange mask, and had help.

Deputies have released surveillance photos of the attempted robbery.

“They came up around the side of the store. One suspect went inside the store, pulled out a gun and demanded money,” said Sgt. Scott Haines with the Santa Rosa Sheriff's Office.

Sgt. Scott Haines said the robbery occurred while the second suspect outside acted as a lookout.

Inside the store, when the suspect pointed his gun at the clerk, she ducked behind the counter.

But Haines said something spooked the robber, who gave up on the money and ran out the door.

“Obviously, that person’s unstable. Luckily, no one got hurt. But if you’re brazen enough to do that, you’re going to attempt it again,” Haines said.

Both suspects fled the area.

Haines said they aren’t sure if they had a ride or maybe live nearby.

But authorities do have a message for the suspects.

“The best thing the person that waited outside can do is to turn his friend in and come talk to us. We’re going to find out who they are,” said Haines.

Deputies believe the suspects could be in their late teens to early 20s.
