Local group to raise money for student

GULF BREEZE, Fla. - A fundraiser is being held Saturday, November 14, for a Gulf Breeze Elementary student who has a malignant tumor on his brain stem.

Kirk Pennewill, a fifth grader, is about to start radiation treatment on the aggressive tumor.

"Pillars for Promise" and GBES "Vignes Valiants" are hosting the fundraiser to raise money for Kirk and his family. It's being held at Shoreline Park in Gulf Breeze from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. The fundraiser will include face painting, fishing for prizes, cotton candy and sack babies crafts.
