Thanksgiving crafts and activities for your kids

Preparing Thanksgiving Dinner takes several hours. But if you've done all the prep work, sometimes you have some downtime while everything cooks. We have some ideas that could make those hours more fun for you and your kids. We found two fun websites full of Thanksgiving crafts and activities.

The first one is Kaboose.com .  It has everything from Thanksgiving Recipes and decorating tips - to Thanksgiving crafts you and your kids can do. Some of my favorites are the "Hands and Feet Turkey" which allow you to make cutouts of your family's hands to use as the turkey feathers, and the "Thank You Turkey," it allows everyone to write what they are thankful for on a feather.  Then you can share them with each other.  The best part is you can save these and pull them out again next year just for fun.

Another website is called Frecklebox . If you scroll down to the bottom of the page, it has free coloring pages that you can personalize. All you have to do is type in your child's name and then print it out - there is a coloring page of a turkey up on that site right now.  So, while the turkey is cooking, your little one can color a picture of it.

Those are just a couple of things you can do with your kids today to make this holiday even more special.
